50 Years, 50 Films

Following on from the success of last year's 30 Frankensteins Film Challenge we've decided to up the ante and go for 50 this year. The challenge is 50 Years, 50 Films; watch a film made in each of the last 50 years (1959 to 2008). The rules are pretty straight forward: one film from each year (in any order) which neither I nor Gwen have seen before. We're starting out with films which we want to see and then taking recomendations from various sources after that. I think we're going to try and get as many 'classics' as we can as well as going for a few foreign language films.

Update: Well, we failed. In the end we fell short of the mark by 5 films. Let's hope that next year's challenge will be more of a success.
